OUR STORY
POTENTIAL is the Art and Science of a Fully Realized Life.
The science is the tools — breath, movement, meditation, sound, heat, salt. The art is what the tools are for: beauty, story, community, and a spark that propels you forward when the going gets tough.
Instead of a one dimensional approach, POTENTIAL weaves a lifestyle of wellness reaching into the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, relationships, community, financial and more.
This isn't about doing less. In an overstimulated, overwhelmed world, it's about creating harmony and building the capacity to meet the moment with all you are.
Progress doesn't happen by accident.
POTENTIAL is created by three founding women who met through their studies within the Modern Mystery School. As a path of Self Mastery, the Mystery School tradition offers practical spiritual tools to get out of your own way and live life with greater joy, harmony, and balance.
Applying these tools allowed the founders of POTENTIAL to discover more beauty and good in their lives. POTENTIAL is a community founded with the principle of progression. With the awareness that you're never standing still, you're either moving forward or backward, and we wanted to create a community that nurtures growth and forward motion through creating a strong foundation for all that is good in life.
Genevieve Wachutka
CEO
Always an entrepreneur at heart, Genevieve walked an unconventional path to get there. From software company & helicopter pilot training, to walking the path of the initiate within the Modern Mystery School, to starting her own dog walking & pet care business in NE Minneapolis. She sold that business in 2019 to focus on launching the Modern Mystery School - Minneapolis / St. Paul.
Never knowing where each step would lead, she trusted her inner spark and the journey has continued to unfold beyond what she ever imagined was possible.Potential was born from an expanded vision of what's possible; sharing tools and nurturing community that inspires the best within the Self - and making it a lifestyle.

Wendy Benning Swanson
COO
After starting and growing a successful staffing firm, Wendy experienced a devastating loss that led to an exploration of spirituality and the big questions of life and death.
Her studies within the Modern Mystery School moved her from a practicing skeptic to becoming a Guide and Healer within the tradition, sharing practical tools that she had received herself.
After selling her staffing business, she dedicated her life to creating a community where joy is more than just a concept, and embodies the best in what humanity has to offer. Potential is a part of realizing that vision.

Angie Moita
CFO & Event Coordinator
Experiencing corporate burnout (after gaining her million-miler status with Delta), Angie explored interests in homeopathy, essential oils, interior design, chocolatiering, and sound healing.
Drawn to the Modern Mystery School teachings of Sacred Geometry and Kabbalah, she found a path that was deeper and more comprehensive than anything she tried before.
When the opportunity to be part of the emerging vision for Potential presented itself, Angie knew it was the next big step.

Our Mission & Core Values
Integrity
We do what we say, and we hold our members and partners to that same standard. We operate with the Will to do Good as our North Star, and we do not accept gossiping or drama. We are here to create a more harmonious and peaceful world, and we encourage individuals to create harmony and peace within the self, because as our teacher, Dave Lanyon, Sovereign Ipsissimus in the Modern Mystery School, says, “you can’t give what you don’t have.” It’s not a brand aesthetic, it’s a lifestyle and a commitment we take seriously.
Care
Every session, class, and conversation deserves our full attention. We come prepared, and ready to meet the day with our full presence because we care.
We care about the work, we care about the people we serve, and we know how you show up matters.
We take responsibility for ourselves and our mistakes, so we can learn, grow and heal.
We hold compassion for ourselves and others and see the best within.
Good Relationships
POTENTIAL is a community first, a business second; this extends to how we treat our guests, our practitioners, and every person who comes through the door. We abide by the golden rule: treat others as you would want to be treated.
We honor each individual’s unique expression, and hold respect and care for each other.
If we want a more harmonious and peaceful world, that starts within the Self. Our goal is to create a space where we can build that together, and create a harmonious and peaceful community that extends beyond our doors.
Growth
We value progression; you are either moving forward or backward, there is no standing still.
We value both the art and science of transformation, testing, applying, and analyzing the results to assess whether efforts lead to “good fruit.”
We operate with humbleness and respect for all people as they navigate their journey with full autonomy, offering tools we have found effective for moving into a greater expression of joy, peace, and fulfillment.
Courage
We nurture the flame within that drives one to reach higher, expand into more of what’s possible despite the unknown.
We hold deep respect and love for all people, as everyone has their mountains to climb, and offer unwavering encouragement for the warrior spirit that uplifts and carries on with hope and fortitude for something better.
Details Matter
It’s the small details that create a welcoming, inviting atmosphere for all.
From the care we take with the physical space, to how we show up ourselves, to honoring each person who steps through the doors. We are here to serve all, and it is through our attention to detail, bringing care into everything we do, that we may create a more fully realized life.
How We Do Things Differently
Environment
The research on this is consistent: people's bodies respond to their surroundings before their minds catch up. Thoughtfully designed spaces — natural materials, real light, intentional beauty — measurably lower cortisol and stress markers, the same way a chaotic or careless environment raises them. Nothing here is an afterthought. From a rotating collection of real, working artists to tools chosen with intention — breath, movement, meditation, sound, heat, salt — if it's part of POTENTIAL, it was built with care, not convenience.
We see the potential in you
Every person who walks through our doors is treated as sovereign and capable — not a project, not a beginner to be corrected, just someone further along their own path. No experience required, ever. This is also where longevity research keeps pointing: the regions of the world where people live the longest and healthiest lives aren't defined by extreme diets or protocols — they're defined by community. Strong social ties and a sense of belonging show up again and again as some of the strongest predictors of a long, healthy life. We're building that on purpose, not by accident.
Alcohol-free programming
Every event we host — art openings, Candlelight evenings, member mixers — runs without alcohol. Alcohol feels like relaxation in the moment, but it disrupts deep sleep, keeps the nervous system on alert through the night, and tends to leave next-day mood worse, not better — a step back dressed up as a step down. Every event here runs on craft NA cocktails, no THC, no added sugar, and adaptogenic to support relaxation without the hangover.
Private rentals are the renter's own event, and outside catering may include alcohol through a licensed vendor — but what we build ourselves, we build alcohol-free.
This is what forward motion looks like.
Art, wellness, and a community built around the same principle we've just told you about — join us and find out what's possible when you stop standing still.
